Mässan i Lahti

Kätevä – Tekevä – Lukeva

Kätevä – one of the largest arts and crafts events in Finland – will be accompanied by two new and interesting fairs when it is held at the refurbished Lahti Fair Centre, on 2–3 November. Tekevä will bring together a wide range of hobbies while Lukevaplaces its focus on new and traditional forms of reading. Also, responsibility for organisation of the events will be transferred to Lahti Fair Ltd. The Kätevä – Tekevä – Lukeva fairs are being made into a large-scale event for the whole family that will attract nationwide interest.

KÄTEVÄ

Kätevä brings together Finnish arts and crafts traders and members of the public who have spending power and a keen interest in handicrafts. Every year, the event brings in thousands of visitors. The main focus of the fair is, naturally, on Finnish arts and crafts products and supplies, sold by hundreds of traders. The selection on offer covers all aspects of arts and crafts: craft materials, jewellery, ornaments, utility items, toys, tools, clothes and accessories for both people and pets, home textiles, gifts, art items, and artisanal foods. In addition to a wide range of products for sale, there will be dance performances, fashion shows, craft demonstrations, displays of handicraft art, and workshops.
